Description
Created by prolific storyteller maker Linda Lucero Fragua out of Jemez Pueblo, this gorgeous figurine features a seated woman and three children. One child stands upon the woman’s lap, while two more children sit on either side of the girl. One boy holds a drum, the girl at the center holds a blanket, and the third child, also a boy, holds his hands to his face. Each is painted in a combination of grey, black, brown, and red, including the woman, who also features a beautiful clay necklace and a bun on either side of her head, set with additional plates painted with sunfaces. A shawl covers the woman’s shoulders, painted in traditional designs including steps and whirlwinds along the border. 6 1/8″ tall x 3″ wide x 5″ deep.
