One larger and one smaller rabbit are bound together by a medicine bundle comprising beads on sinew in this delicate fetish by Zuni carver Daisy (Natewa) Leonard. The larger rabbit is caved from ricolite and the smaller, from white marble, the ricolite containing portions of black matrix. Medicine bundle binding the rabbits together features clam shell, jet, turquoise and pipestone beads. In many Native American cultures, the rabbit is a special guardian of women in childbirth, and assures long life for children. 5/8″ tall x 1″ wide x 1 1/2″ long.
