Description
A single, rounded triangular stone of #8 turquoise comprises the majority of the body of this impressive maiden pendant by Navajo silversmith Bennie Ration. The stone, light blue in color and containing portions of brown matrix running throughout, is set in a simple sterling silver bezel and surrounded at the base by a sterling silver rope pattern, followed by a scalloped sterling band stamped with scallop designs and finished with two rows of applique dots on each side of the top. Protruding from the top of the stone is an intricate, brushed sterling silver maiden’s head, complete with rectangular eyes, a round mouth, and a stamped tableta finished with a sterling feather at the top. Hook bail is located at the top of the back of the piece. 2″ long x 1 3/8″ wide.
