Depicting the head of a traditional clown, or koshare, this impressive, fun figurine was handmade by Laguna potter Myron Sarracino. Labeled #15 in this series, this particular piece features one ear bent forward atop its head, with one straight up, both finished with husk. The head itself is painted in black and orange patterns that include steps, fine lines, and a large tularosa at the back, its swirls alternating between solid black and fine lines, which often represent rain. The koshare’s eyes are closed, with step and fine line designs comprising its mouth. 11″ tall x 6 1/2″ wide.
