Description
A seated male figurine, one leg tucked underneath the other, is flanked by five children in this unique storyteller by Jemez potter Caroline Sando. The man rests with his mouth open, a wrap around his head, while one child rests on one arm, two on the other, and two in his lap. Four of the five children look up with expressive eyes with the fifth’s eyes are closed, each of their mouths open as well. The children are painted in buff, red and black, while the man is painted in brown, blue and black, his neck finished with two turquoise painted necklaces. 6 3/8″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide x 4 1/4″ deep.
