Description

Traditional thunderbirds, their heads set on a profile, are inlaid predominantly with green turquoise, along with jet, white mother of pearl, and coral accents in these fun earrings by Zuni silversmith Michelle Peina.  Each thunderbird hangs from a sterling star pattern post, the birds’ heads, wings, tail feathers and bodies inlaid with green turquoise containing large portions of brown matrix.  White mother of pearl makes up each beak, while jet accents the eyes and edges of the wings, with a single coral dot atop each head.  1 1/2″ long x 7/8″ wide.  Earrings are post.
