We’re pleased to introduce to you our littlest team member with the biggest personality: Lily Cordova.
Lily, born on June 9, 1997 in Albuquerque, NM, joined the Palms family on June 8, 2016. She is currently a full-time student at the University of New Mexico in her senior year, studying Intercultural Communication and English. She graduates in May, and plans to travel and work for some time before branching out to a career more centered around her major, which she would like to be in editing.
Lily can most often be found working in our jewelry department, helping customers, organizing the space, and taking photos, for which she has an incredible eye. These photos can often be found on the store Pinterest account, which Lily runs, as well as featured on Amazon. Always measured and thoughtful, Lily explains that her favorite aspect of working at Palms is “how, as a business, we stress the importance of honest and community. While we are constantly receiving new inventory, we do our best to give as much information as we can at a fair and honest price.” Her favorite artist is Will Denetdale, because “he always works with the most unique, eye-catching stones,” although she can often be found wearing an eclectic and unique mix of pieces that always complement her personal style.
In her free time, Lily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, rock climbing, practicing yoga, camping, and reading. In fact, some of those activities tie directly into her favorite things about Albuquerque: “the culture, food, and most of all the mountains for hiking and photography.”
While we hope she chooses to stay with us for a long time, we may only be fortunate enough to employ Lily through the remainder of this year. If you’re in town, please stop by and take a minute to interact with her; we promise you’ll walk away with a smile on your face, and likely a piece or two of beautiful jewelry that are uniquely you. Trust us, Lily’s got a knack for that.
