What is a Personal Shopper?
Unlike department stores that have a relatively static inventory and selection, Palms Trading Company carries one-of-a-kind pieces. Our inventory is always changing as pieces are sold and artists bring in new work. Even if you live in Albuquerque and can drop in, it’s hard to keep up with what we have on the shelves (or online), and it’s impossible to predict what we might get. Those outside ABQ can’t even see our in-store selection.
So, we have personal shoppers, members of our knowledgeable staff who can help you browse our in-store selection, provide information about the pieces, artists, Pueblo traditions, etc. and help you complete the sale when you’ve found the perfect piece for your hard-to-shop-for friend (or your own Southwest home décor).
Our Personal Shopper Service
Our personal shopper service is easy to use! All you have to do is contact Palms Trading Company online, over the phone (247-8504 from Albuquerque, 800-748-1656 from everywhere else), or in-person. Your personal shopper will:
- Gather the details from you. We want to know: what type of art you are looking for (e.g., pottery, jewelry, sandpaintings), pieces by a particular artist or in a Pueblo’s characteristic style, size, color, etc. The more details you provide, the easier it will be for us to search for that perfect piece.
- Search through our huge in-store selection and find several pieces that match your description.
- Take pictures of the pieces and e-mail them to you.
From there, you can choose which one(s) you like or ask us to keep searching.
We’ll Keep an Eye Out
Because each piece of art is handmade and we buy them directly from the artists, our selection changes frequently. We may not have exactly what you’re looking for right now, but we may get something new that fits the bill. If we can’t find the perfect piece right away, we’ll enter you into our personal shopper database (which we check regularly). When the piece comes in that fits your description, we’ll contact you right away!
