Description

Gorgeous blue-green turquoise stones combine with intricate sterling silverwork in this traditional Navajo squash blossom necklace.  The naja of the piece features 12 turquoise stones, the largest, a tear drop shape, set at the top.  A single oval piece hangs from the bottom of that stone, the larger of the two bordered along the top curve by applique sterling stars, while applique sterling dots on both inner and outer borders separate each of the remaining stone along the naja’s curves.  Four squash blossoms are set on either side of the necklace’s double stranded beads, the turquoise stones at the center set in simple sterling silver bezels and surrounded at the base by sterling rope patterns. These, in turn, are surrounded by applique sterling star patterns, giving way to three pronged sterling blossoms.  The necklace’s double beaded pearls merge into a single strand just after the last blossom on each side, and the necklace is finished with a hook and eye closure.  26 1/4″ from end to end, not including naja length.  Naja measures 2 3/4″ long x 2 1/8″ wide.  Total necklace length is approximately 29″.
