Description

White and golden mother of pearl, pink mussel shell, jet, and hints of turquoise and coral combine to create this adorable snowman pin/pendant by Zuni silversmith Tamara Pinto.  The snowman’s head and body are inlaid with white mother of pearl, while the end of its scarf and rim and pom of its beanie are inlaid with golden mother of pearl.  The remainder of the scarf and top of the hat feature pink mussel shell, the scarf dotted with both turquoise and coral, while the snowman’s mittens, eyes, mouth and buttons are inlaid with jet.  He is finished with a protruding orange mother of pearl nose.  2″ long x 1 1/2″ wide.  Bail is located at the top of the back of the piece while pin rests vertically just below it.
