Description
Handmade by Navajo carver Victor Abeita, this large kachina doll depicts a sunface. The doll is accented with blue and black feathers and felt, the felt covering its lower half and the feathers held in each hand, which black feathers surrounding the face. Fur lines the sunface’s ankles, one of its legs bent and lifted high as if taking a large step, while its forehead is painted in blue and black with a teepee scene. The sunface represents warmth, shelter for the old, bright future, and playfulness for the young. 15″ tall x 6 1/4″ wide x 4 1/4″ deep.
