Description
Acoma potter Judy Lewis, known for her spectacular and detailed figurines, created this traditional corn maiden in her signature style. The piece is predominantly white, the front of the body dotted with clay corn kernels which are bordered on both sides and along the back with flowing corn husks painted in black fine lines. The maiden’s face showcases expressive, large eyes, rosy cheeks and an open mouth, while her head is topped with a step patterned tableta which is accented with an adorable bird, butterfly, and lady bug. 7 1/2″ tall x 2″ wide x 2″ deep.
