Handmade in her signature style, this stunning Corn Mother figurine was created by well-known Navajo potter Nora Yazzie. The piece features a round base, with Corn Mother protruding upward, standing tall, the entire piece created with white micaceous clay. Corn Mother’s body showcases multiple rows of multiple corn kernels, the rows surrounded by thick husks curling on top of themselves. Corn Mother’s eyes are open but squinted, her mouth open and hair down, cascading over her shoulders and onto the front of her body. She is finished with a stone and feather atop one side of her head. 16″ tall x 3 1/2″ wide x 4 1/2″ deep.
