One child and one dog sit on the lap of a seated woman in this small, precious storyteller figurine by Jemez potter Chrislyn Fragua. The woman sits with her legs outstretched, a full skirt surrounding a majority of her lower half. One child rests in her lap, a dog sitting in his lap, while boy and woman are presented with open mouths and wide, expressive eyes. The woman’s hair is pulled into a bun atop her head, her cheeks are rosy, and various step patterns in black adorn her buff and red clothing. 3 5/8″ tall x 2 3/4″ wide x 3 1/8″ deep.
