Description

Handmade by well-known, late Hopi potter Fannie Nampeyo, this gorgeous, small jar showcases a traditional migration pattern along the entirety of its body.  Migration patterns are a combination of curving feathers moving in one direction, often containing many fine lines, the pattern’s significance relating to the moving of people to new villages to find new sources of food and water.  The pattern in painted in black with red accents, while a single black band surrounds the area just below the piece’s rim, with another above the piece’s base.  The jar is finished with a lovely stone polish.  4 5/8″ tall x 5 3/8″ wide.  This is a NET item.
