Exceptionally rare, as it comes out of Isleta Pueblo by potter Diane Wade, this fun, unique, and large jar showcases a handmade, clay horse lid resting atop a traditional hand painted jar. The piece varies buff to brown in color and is painted in black patterns, which include weather, step, feather and geometric designs along both body and lid. The horse showcases painted eyes, nose, mouth, hair and spots, while the base of the lid is painted in step and triangular whirlwind patterns. The body features reoccurring weather patterns around the rim, followed by circular panels featuring weather, step and feather designs. 16″ tall with lid x 9″ wide. 9″ tall without lid.
