Description
Handmade by prolific Jemez potter Alvina Yepa, this lovely little seed pot showcases various, intricately etched patterns and is finished with a gorgeous, high shine stone polish. The piece widens from its narrow opening, a majority of the front and half of the back and sides showcasing etched, traditional patterns, including corn stalks as the centerpiece along the front, as well as feather and step patterns. The etching creates a beautiful juxtaposition between red and buff coloring, while the sections of the piece not exposing the buff color are stone polished, creating additional contrast between the buff color’s texture. 4 1/4″ tall x 4″ wide.
