Handmade by Jemez potter Sharela Waquie, granddaughter of late Jemez potter Judy Toya, this adorable figurine showcases a snail flanked by two butterflies. The snail’s recognizable swirled shell is painted bright yellow with brown accents, while one large butterfly rests atop the shell, and a smaller butterfly is set at the back, along the snail’s buff tail. Each butterfly is intricately painted with various geometric designs, the larger in white, black and red, and the smaller in white, black and blue. 3 1/2″ tall x 2 1/2″ wide x 5 1/2″ long.
