Description

Micaceous red clay and buff polished and painted clay comprise this adorable turtle figurine by San Ildefonso potter Brenda Fender.  The body of the piece is made entirely of the red micaceous clay, while the turtle’s shell is buff, stone polished, and painted with traditional weather patterns in red and black.  A clam shell heishi necklace is set around the turtle’s neck, finishing the figurine nicely.  2 3/4″ tall x 2″ wide x 3 1/2″ long.
