Description
Three rabbits, one carved from jasper, one from turquoise and one from Mexican onyx, comprise the majority of this unique fetish by Zuni artist Daisy (Natewa) Leonard. The rabbits are bound together by a shell and turquoise heishi medicine bundle strung along sinew, while the turquoise rabbit at the center showcases brown and tan matrix running throughout. In many Native American cultures, the rabbit is considered a special guardian of women in childbirth, and assures long life for children. 5/8″ tall x 1 1/4″ wide x 1 5/8″ long.
