Description

Carved from Picasso marble varying black to brown to grey, this adorable Zuni fetish by Freddie Leekya depicts a beaver.  The beaver leans on a stick with one hand while the other is extended up in the air, its eyes inlaid with turquoise and large front teetih with white mother of pearl.  The tail is lightly etched, making the animal even more life-like.  In some Native American cultures, the beaver is a hard working builder who represents a sense of achievement. 2 1/8″ tall x 1 1/2″ wide x 2 1/4″ deep.
